Perhaps my favorite part about moving to Florida is the quiet time spent between me and my brushes studying the beauty of Florida . It appeals to me like no other Subject. I find myself engaged with  the quiet time of days, gone by. When the sun quietly sits leaving an array of color across the sky. The sounds of the swamp  stirs up a solace within my soul. A happy place. I hope my Florida Painting gives you a sense of peace and joy.

As a young girl, my favorite pastime was to slowly guide my Moms little Jon boat down the lively Cross Creek,Fl. The little creek that separates the massive Orange Lake and Lochloosa Lake. The place where the trees form an umbrella of shade around you. To protect you from the ever changing fast paced world. The cypress trees and stumps stand tall, showing off their splendor. I can still hear the birds singing in the woods around me. You could hear the songs of the frogs and a occasional gator sound off. It was a place that stood still, but yet life was all around. I remember deeply breathing in the air, and slowly exhaling to take in just those moments into my soul. The place where life stands Still. This is a little painting of Cross Creek a Paradise untouched by our ever changing , fast moving world.
